Did we do that?
For the last month Kelli and I have had the privilege of serving as Camp Director at Young Life's Malibu club. What a blessing to see God move in the lives of kids. Our team of folks that served for the month (we call it our Assignment Team) was made up of 17 adults and their families. It was fun to watch all of those little kids running around all month. But, as I watched moms and dads changing diapers, chasing runaway toddlers, cleaning up throw up, waking up in the middle of the night, I found myself asking Kelli, "did we really do that?" How quickly we forget. To all of you parents that find yourself in the heat of the battle, my hat is off to you. Don't lose heart. Be encouraged. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a season in your journey and seasons change. Parenting is the greatest calling anyone could have. May the Lord bless you as you pour into your little ones. We love and appreciate you all!
This is an encouragement... thanks. As the mother of a sick 2yr old it's been a long week. I wanted to share that we are getting ready to send our kids back to school and again I read through your book and what a blessing! This will be our 6th year at public school and this year we will have 4 out of our 5 there. I look forward to seeing what the Lord will do this year. But just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to write "Going Public". There is so little in the way of encouragement for Christian parents who feel called to public school. I appreciate so much the wisdom you share and am very quick to recommend your book to anyone I know who is choosing this road for their family (and frankly those who don't b/c they need to know how to pray). I will continue to pray for your family as you share God's love in the various schools your children attend this year.

As a mom of 4-month-old twins and a 2 year old, I needed that! Thanks for the encouragement!

Thank you for your encouragement to our family and SO many others. I was just talking about your book at our dedication dessert the other night. We were talking about kindergarten with some families with pre-k kids and telling them how much I loved it, and how much loved your heart for kids. Thanks for inspiring families to keep up the hard work. Thanks for serving with willing hearts. Thank you!
